Say no more. Many people these days are suffering from a lack of energy for one or several reasons.
If you want more mental and physical energy, this article is for you.
Take a close look at your lifestyle.
Are you getting enough rest and sleep? Are you eating the right foods that your body requires to function at it's peak. Do you smoke or drink alcohol in excess? Are you leading a stressful life - always rushing and running around? Well, these are some of the causes that are draining your energy and I think that you probably already know that.
Guess what? Something's gotta change. If you want more energy then you have got to change your lifestyle. A little bit at a time, if it's important to you.
By moving your body a little bit more each day and challenging it to do more, you will feel immediate results, I promise you. Don't push yourself too hard too soon. You will regret it and never want to move again. Start with baby steps. Walk down to the shop instead of driving, or go for a 10min walk around the block, if that's all you can manage for now. Just DO IT!
Next is Diet. Take a good hard look at what you're putting into your mouth. Are you hungry when you're eating or are you eating out of sheer boredom or anxiety? Try to become aware of why you're eating, what you are eating and when you're eating. Before you eat, stop for a few seconds and make the best choices for yourself and you will see the difference in a few weeks.
If you choose lean protein, loads of vegetables, moderate amounts of fruits and whole grains, a little fat and approx 2litres of water a day, you have the basics for a very healthy, energy giving diet.
Last, but by no means least. Sleep. I don't know about you, but I love to sleep and I feel so much better when I get my 7 - 8 hours of sleep.
So there you have it. A few basic, common sense strategies to help you stay mentally and physically sharp.
To your health
