Rapid Results

Did you know that women who exercise regularly have a 20% less chance of developing breast cancer, a 30% less chance of suffering from heart disease, and a whopping 50% less chance of developing diabetes.

...and 50 percent of male deaths are due to chronic disease caused by a lack of physical exercise?

Those are some compelling reasons to be a little more active!

Truth be told, you must be active every day in some way... and most days need to include exercise that's hard enough to get you breathing heavy, but not so much that you feel pain, out of breath or faint.

Now it really doesn’t matter what exercise you decide to do as long as you successfully get your heart rate into the proper zone (normally 70-80% of your max).

Fact...

Exercising with your heart rate under the 70% mark is still healthy, but it’s not enough to make noticeable changes in your shape.

On the other hand, exercising with your heart rate above the 80% mark is potentially unhealthy and can burn muscle rather than fat.

So stay at or above 70% and never go above your 80% target heart rate.

Here's How To Do It...

There’s a number of ways to monitor your heart rate, here's one of the simplest formulas:

220 minus your age multiplied by .70 (gives you your low range)
220 minus your age multiplied by .80 (gives you your high range)

If math isn't your thing, then you can also use a heart rate monitor (about $70 in a sports store).

Try fitting in 30 minutes, 3–5 times per week... and on your days off stay at moderately active with gardening, sports, walking, hiking, playing with the kids, or anything.

And if you think you don’t have time to exercise for 30 minutes, start with 15, or 10, or 5... If you can’t do 3–5 times a week, then do 2.

Just start now. Start slow. Start with the time you have. Just start!

Set your alarm clock a few minutes earlier  (stop reading and go do it!). Then get up tomorrow morning and work out — you’ll be glad you did.

...and if you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning, put a few motivating pictures on your bed side table and look at them right before you go to sleep, then again when you wake up.

The point is, just start now… and watch the rapid results you get.

PS: Becoming fit should be a priority in everyone’s life because your health, and the way you perceive yourself, affects every aspect of your day.
