Making Exercise Fun!
Exercise does not have to be boring or painful. There are so many things you can do to have fun that incorporates using your body.
Here are a few ideas:
Go to the park, especially if you have kids. Throw a ball or Frisbee around. Some parks have basketball courts and even circuit training equipment. Go with a friend so you can motivate each other. Ride a bike or walk while you listen to music or something motivational. Have a picnic and play cricket.
For those who like being near water like myself, the beach, river or pool is a great way to keep fit and enjoy yourself.
Walking along the beach is so relaxing. You can get your heart rate up a notch by walking briskly or in the soft sand to give your legs a great workout. Again, have fun with it.
Swimming is a low impact exercise and works your whole body. It's ideal for people with aches and pains because it's gentle.
Now here's one I really love and recommend.... Dancing. I don't know any one who does not love to dance. What's not to love about dancing. Put on your favorite music and get down, or up, or whatever :) you get my drift!
So go out and have fun. You wont even know you're exercising.
