The Ultimate Goal

It seems that most people I talk to have an issue with their abdominals  more than any other part of their body. Well I'm not surprised, seeing that  flat strong abdominal muscles are most people's goal.
I must admit that they do look good and make one feel great about their physique.

There are so many myths about achieving great abs. Here is a list of a few that you should avoid.
The number one myth is Spot Reducing. There's no way in the world that you will achieve your goal by  doing hundreds of crunches. That's myth number two. Yes, you will achieve very toned abs but if they can't be seen under that layer of fat then all your hard work is in vain.

You are better off doing some sort of "cardio" workout that will burn the fat. You will lose fat from all over your body and then you will see those six packs!

Summer is nearly here,  and the thought of going down to the beach and getting into your bathers may be putting you off a bit if you have a few kilos to lose. Stop procrastinating and get into your cardio training, even if you begin with brisk walking. You will be amazed at the difference  in as little as eight weeks. I suggest 30mins a day 5-6 days a week. Consistency is the key.You can do it!

Let's not forget about good nutrition.Exercise and a healthy diet go hand in hand. You will be undoing all your good work if you eat poorly. Remember,  you're trying to burn the fat that already exists, so by ingesting more fat and empty calories you are wasting your time and energy.

Myth number three. Ab rollers, gadgets, body wraps and other paraphernalia  that are sold to people who are desperate. You don't need them. Buy yourself  a Swiss Ball or a  good floor mat instead.

So how badly do you want to have great looking abs?
