Over 50's Weight Loss

Hi to all the over 50's who are struggling to lose weight. Most of you probably already know that as we age our metabolism slows down. Bummer! That doesn't seem fair, but you can do things to speed up your metabolism and win.
Eating smaller meals more regularly will rev up your metabolism so will exercise and so will weight training If your body is more muscular you will burn more calories. The more active you are the easier it will be  to shed unwanted fat get fitter and healthier at the same time.
Aerobic exercises like fast walking, jogging/running ( not for people with knee problems ) biking, swimming laps anything that you enjoy and gets your heart rate up will burn the fat. Weight training will tone and sculpt your muscles.
We've talked about exercise, now let's talk about diet. A well balanced healthy diet is the best, with the occasional treat. You don't have to skip desserts, just choose wisely. There are many low fat alternatives. Just let your imagination go wild! Most of all, make your exercise and diet program FUN.
