Portion Control


Being a Chef, I know all about portion control. Some people just don't get it! They think portion control is about control issues rather than focusing on the portion issue.These are the people that are not willing to learn that unless one reduces the portion, one begins to lose the extra weight. But you're not one of those people, are you?

Pre-pack your snacks in bags or boxes of approx 100 calories, be they nuts, pretzels, crackers or popcorn.  In a recent study, people whose snacks came prepackaged in low-calorie portions ate about 120 fewer calories each day compared with people who munched from larger packages

 More and more research has shown that when people are presented with large servings of food, they typically don't know when to stop. You know the old saying, " my eyes are bigger than my stomach", and then it's too late. You've scoffed the whole buffet.

Please, please, please....if you are trying to lose weight and get healthy, DON'T go to the all you can eat restaurants unless you have an iron will or a bloody good plan of attack!
