Working out at home is not only convenient but cheaper too. The initial outlay on equipment is minimal compared to a years gym membership. The benefits of having your own home gym is enormous.Think about the time you save on traveling, the peak periods at the gym when everyone wants to use the same machine, and best of all you can shower without having to wait.
If you don't have space for a weight bench or treadmill, you could substitute with a Swiss ball, mini stepper or stationery bike. Get your heart rate up by going for a power walk first, and then do your weight session.
There are some good DVD's on the market if you prefer watching someone else guide you. Have some fun and invite your friends for a workout.
Winter is a great time to start a health and fitness routine. It wont just keep you warm but by the time summer comes around you will have a great body to show off at the beach or any where. So get cracking and take up the challenge. you wont regret it.
